Day: Arrive Anchorage
Arrive in
Anchorage, Alaska. Upon arrival you will be
greeted by your english speaking driver / guide
who will be accompanying you during your journey
in Alaska. This evening enjoy a Welcome Drink
and Appetizer at the hotel and get to know your
fellow travellers. Overnight in downtown
Anchorage at the Anchorage Sheraton Hotel or

Day: Anchorage – Denali Nationalpark
This morning
enjoy a guided City Tour through Anchorage
including a visit of the Native Heritage Center
and the Museum of History and Art. Ongoing
journey via Talkeetna to Denali National Park.
In Talkeetna you have the option to do an
optional flightseeing tour with glacier landing
to Mt.McKinley. Arrive in Denali this evening
and overnight outside the Denali National Park
at the Denali Princess Lodge (ca.380 km).

Day: Denali Nationalpark – Fairbanks
Enjoy a full
day Denali Wildlife Tour into the Denali
Natonal Park. The main attraction is the park
itself. The Athabaskan Indians still say the BIG
ONE to Mt.McKinley in their language.
MT.McKinley is the tallest mountain with 6194.
You’ll be able to view lot’s of wildlife, such
as moose, caribou’s, wolves, deer’s and maybe a
grizzly crossing the road. This tour is fully
guided and includes a snack. Late afternoon
transfer to Fairbanks, Alaska. Overnight in
downtown at the River’s Edge Resort or similar.
This evening you have the option to visit
Alaskaland and enjoy a delicious Salmon Bake
prior of visiting the Malemut Show in Fairbanks

Day: Fairbanks – Glennallen – Copper
Center
Your next
journey is Glennallen, Alaska. Glennallen lies
at the Western edge of the huge Wrangell St.
Elias National Park and Preserve. It is a
gateway to the Wrangell Mountains and the
service center for the Copper River basin. Four
prominent peaks of the majestic Wrangell
Mountains are Mt.Sanford, Drum, Wrangell and
Blackburn. Join your guide on a walking trail
through three boreal forest ecosystems.
Overnight at the Copper Center Lodge.

Day: Glennallen – Valdez
From Glennallen
transfer to Valdez, which is also called little
Switzerland. Upon arrival in Valdez visit the
Earthquake Exhibit Museum. This afternoon you
have the option to do a rafting tour or a cruise
through the Prince William Sound. Overnight at
the Brookside Bed and Breakfast.
6.
Day: Valdez – Whittier - Anchorage
Board the
Alaska Marine Highway through the Prince William
Sound to Whittier. Upon arrival transfer to
Portage, where you will be able to see the
glaciers and visit the Begich Boggs Visitor
Center. Another stop will be Big Game of Alaska,
where you will be able to view Alaska’s wildlife
upclose, moose, caribou’s, wolves and yes some
brown bear cubs and black bears. Arrive in
Anchorage this evening and enjoy a Farewell
Dinner with your fellow travellers. Overnight in
downtown at the Anchorage Sheraton Hotel.

Day: Anchorage
Enjoy a leisure
day in Anchorage today. Lot’s of optional
activities are available such as a one day
bearviewing tour to Katmai National Park or
Redoubt Bay. Overnight again in downtown
Anchorage.

Fairbanks – Tok
This morning
enjoy a City Tour of Fairbanks including a visit
of the University / Museum where many historical
sites are available to visit. After lunch
transfer via Delta Junction to Tok, Alaska. In
Tok visit the Mainstreet Visitor Center.
Overnight at the Youngs Motel or similar.
Day 5: Tok –
Dawson City
Via the Taylor
Highway you’ll be able to reach the Top of the
World Highway. Your next destination is Dawson
City, Canada. Short stop in Chicken, which is
famous for the story TISHA. Right before you get
to Dawson City you’ll visit the Bondary Lodge,
which is one of the oldest buildings in Alaska.
Golddiggers stayed there during that time. Late
afternoon you’ll arrive in Dawson City, Queen of
the Klondike. Dawson City was very popular for
gold and thousounds of people tried to dig gold
there. You’ll see lot’s of historical buildings
and gold fields of the Klondike town. Overnight
in Dawson City, Canada.
Day 6: Dawson
City
Enjoy a half
day City Tour through Dawson City this morning.
You’ll have the opportunity to see the Robert
Service Cabin, the Jack London Cabin, the museum
in Dawson City, the famous 3rd
Avenue, the Harrington Store and the postal
office 1901 as well as the Palace Grande
Theatre. Then you’ll visit the Discovery Claim,
Bonanza Creek where you’ll have the option to do
your own goldwashing and certainly can keep the
gold you’ll find. After you have digged for your
own gold you’;ll visit the Bear Creek Camp. This
evening visit optional the Diamond Tooth
Gertie’s Gambling Hall and Saloon !
Day 7: Dawson
City – Tok
From Dawson
City you’ll drive back to Tok, Alaska. Overnight
in downtown Tok at the Westmark Hotel or Youngs
Motel.
Day 8: Tok –
Glennallen
Your next

Day 9:
Glennallen – Valdez
Valdez is your next
destination in Alaska. Valdez was established as
a port of entry for gold seekers in 1898.
Thousands of stampeders arrived in Valdez to
follow the All American Route to the Eagle
mining district in Alaska’s Interior.
Construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline was
begun in 1974 and the 1000 acres site at Port
Valdez was choosen to be the pipeline terminus.

Day 10: Valdez –
Whittier –
Anchorage
Today we travel the Prince William Sound via
ferry. Without a doubt this is a highlight among
the scenic beauties of Alaska. The route is
close to the Pacific coast, passing calving
glaciers, the Columbia Glacier probably being
the most spectacular of them all. Odds are you
will spot a variety of wildlife. With a little
luck you will be able to take pictures not only
of otters and puffins, but of sealions and even
whales, too. Ashore again, the next stop is the
Portage Glacier, which is almost accessible by
car. Another stop will be in Girdwood where you
will take the tram up to Mt.Alyeska to enjoy
a
snack.
Concluding this eventful stage, we drive along
the Turnagain Arm into Anchorage. The high tidal
wave rolling into Turnagain Arm twice a day is
said to be spectacular. Overnight in Anchorage.

Anchorage Departure

transfer by private fullsize motorocach to Tok,
Alaska. In Tok visit the Mainstreet Visitor
Center. Overnight at the Westmark Hotel or
similar.

Your next
journey is Glennallen, Alaska. Glennallen lies
at the Western edge of the huge Wrangell St.
Elias National Park and Preserve. It is a

Overnight at the Tolsona Lake Resort.

Day: Glennallen – Kennicott
Bus Transfer to
Chitina. In Chitina you will take a bush plane
to McCarthy. You will be flying to Wrangell-St
Elias National Park, which is the largest unit
in the national park system, encompassing 13,2
million acres of wilderness. This park contains
nine of the highest peaks in the United States
as well as the largest concentration of glaciers
on the continent. Overnight Kennicott Glacier
Lodge. Upon arrival enjoy a Ghost Town Tour of
Kennicott.
7.
Day: Kennicott
Your guide will
meet you at the lodge for a full day Root
Glacier Hike. No where else in Alaska can you so
easily access an immense alpine glacier. In
Kennecott you will be fitted for crampons
(spikes strapped on the bottom of your boots for
traction while exploring the ice of the Root
Glacier). At the glacier we strap on our
crampons and with simple instruction and
practice; you'll feel secure walking on the ice.
Numerous glacial streams cut deep ravines in the
ice and form shimmering azure blue pools.
Adventurers of ALL ages and abilities have
joined us on this hike, from elderly visitors
with NO hiking experience, to intrepid trekkers.
Overnight again at the lodge.
8.
Day: Kennicott – Glennallen – Valdez
This morning
board your flight from McCarthy / Kennicott back
to Chitina. Transfer from Chitina via Glennallen
to Valdez, Alaska. Upon arrival visit the
Earthquake Museum in downtown Valdez or stroll
down at the harbor. Overnight at Brookside Bed
and Breakfast.
9. Day:
Valdez
Valdez is the
end terminus of the Alyeska Pipeline as well as
your gateway to Prince William Sound and its
glaciers. You may choose to take an optional day
cruise into Prince William Sound or the Columbia
Glacier, or try a guided kayaking trip.
Overnight again at the Brookside Bed and
Breakfast in Valdez.
10. Day:
Valdez – Whittier – Anchorage
Board the
Alaska Marine Highway through the Prince William
Sound to Whittier. Upon arrival transfer to
Portage, where you will be able to see the

where you will be able to view Alaska’s wildlife

prior of arriving in Anchorage is Girdwood.

Dinner at Simon and Seaford’s restaurant in
downtown with your fellow travellers. Overnight
at the Holiday Inn.
11. Day:
Anchorage Departure
Transfer by
private motorcoach from the hotel to the airport
for departure.
