5 Days from / to Fairbanks
Arrive in Fairbanks, Alaska. Next day you
will be picked up at your hotel in Fairbanks and
transferred to the Chena Hot Springs Resort.
Upon arrival ski surrounding trails, snowshoe,
and snowmobile and then relax in the warm waters
as the northern lights dance above. You can
optional enjoy a dog sled ride or learn how to
mush your own team of dogs on the trail during a
dog mushing school. Guided snowmobile rides are
available as well as horse drawn sleigh rides.
Ice fishing and flightseeing to the Arctic
Circle or the Chena Hills are available also.
Try some Cross country skiing and snow shoeing
while visiting the resort.

Day 1
Arrive in Fairbanks. Your Meet and Assist
Representative will review the travel documents
upon arrival. After gathering your luggage,
private transfer from the airport to your hotel
in downtown Fairbanks. Overnight at the Westmark
Hotel in downtown Fairbanks. Join us for a
evening tour at the Aurora Borealis Lodge, a
beautiful, spacious Alaskan log lodge designed
specifically for viewing the northern lights.
Located on Cleary Summit 20 miles north of
Fairbanks, the lodge is situated away from the
city lights which may hinder the sky view.
North-facing large windows allow for optimal
viewing conditions.
Day 2
Transfer this morning to the Aurora Creek Lodge.
A guide will take you on a half day snowmobile
tour to view more Northern Lights and there is a
chance to view McKinley the tallest mountain in
the Denali area as well. The view from the Lodge
covers a 270 degrees of the sky, offering
spectacular viewing of the aurora with dark,
clear skies. Late evening transfer back to
Fairbanks and overnight.
Day 3
Early morning enjoy a day tour to the Arctic
Circle Aurora Adventure, which departs from
Fairbanks by air and offers optional aurora
viewing, dog sledding, and Brooks Mountain Range
excursions from your base camp at Coldfoot,
Alaska.
• Learn the fascinating story of Alaska's Arctic
from your guide. Travel through mining areas
north of Fairbanks.
• View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline.
• Travel the famed Dalton Highway. Traverse the
mighty Yukon River.
• Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an
official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
Coldfoot's far north location places it one of
the world's best aurora viewing areas.
Overnight again in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Day 4
Early morning transfer from Fairbanks to the
Chena Hot Springs Resort. Chena Hot Springs
Resort is world renown for being one of the best
places on Earth to see the northern lights. It
is located under the most active band of
northern lights, it is away from the light
pollution of the city, and the skies over Chena
are clear more often than those over Fairbanks,
just 60 miles away. Upon arrival visit the
Aurorarium - This is a free warm lookout
building with large plate-glass windows facing
Northeast. The building is a short walk from the
lodge and can hold 20 people comfortably. Later
on in the day enjoy a ride with Alaskan Snow
Coach, which is the most popular winter activity
out of Chena Hot Springs Resort. Take one of
these large track vehicles to the top of the
ridge to get unobstructed views of the northern
lights. We leave nightly at 10 pm and return at
2 am. There is a heated yurt for your comfort
and we serve hot drinks such as tea, cider and
hot chocolate inside. Enjoy an evening of more
Northern Lights viewing. Overnight at the Chena
Hot Springs Resort.
Day 5
Visit the therapeutic Natural Mineral Hot
Springs Lake, Pool and Tubs. A pool pass gives
you access to the Chena Hot Springs Rock Lake,
the indoor heated pool, the indoor and outdoor
hot tubs, and the locker rooms. The Rock Lake is
completely natural with no chlorine and is
approximately 4 ' deep depending on the springs
activity and averages 110 degrees F. The Aurora
Ice Museum and Stoli Ice Bar, which is the only
year-round ice museum in the world. See the art
of World Champion ice sculptor Steve Brice, have
an ice martini at the Stoli Ice Bar in your own
martini glass made from pure Alaskan ice, see
the turret, the chess set, the reindeer hide
covered beds. Overnight again at the Chena Hot
Springs Resort.
Day 6
Enjoy a leisurely day at Chena Hot Springs
Resort. More acitivities are available such as
flightseeing, dog sledding, horse drawn carriage
rides etc. Enjoy one more day of Northern Lights
activities around the resort. Overnight.
Day 7
Transfer to the airport in Fairbanks.
